I'm a Senior Experience Architect at IBM iX (Interactive Experience), based out of the Cambridge, MA studio. As a part of IBM iX, I have worked with top Financial Services and Life Sciences clients to conduct user research and usability tests, create wireframes, and design user flows for both mobile and web. I also have experience designing for accessibility and leading service design.

I completed a dual degree Masters in Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon and at University of Madeira, where I equipped myself with the methods and skills required to help create better products and user experiences.

I believe a large part of design is learning about the end-user; their process: pain points, struggles, joys and successes. Research is an integral component in making a good product into a great one.

How do you take your coffee?
Black. 9 times outta 10 it's going to be cold brew. I can't do hot coffee beverages unless it's at 140°. ☕🙅🏻‍♀️🔥 

When you’re having a bad day, what do you do to make yourself feel better?
I typically try to prevent bad days by starting them off right, by working out in the morning -- it gets me energize to take on the day. If that doesn’t mitigate the blues, I like to see my nephew and niece and play with them. If it's past their bedtime, then I try to put on a funny show. 😂

What is the sound you love the most? 
As much as it sounds cliché, it's gotta be the ocean. 🌊It's so calming and soothing. It resets me. There is probably a reason why sound machines have it as a default setting. Close behind is the early morning nature chatter. Silence is golden. 

What's your dream job?
When I was a kid, I dreamt about being Indiana Jones. I wanted to travel and make new discoveries...recover the ark of the covenant. Nowadays, I don't quite want to be an archaeologist, but my passion for visiting and learning about the rest of the world hasn't changed. I try to fly those friendly skies at least once a year. ✈️
